"Canon" in game experiences:
Not necessarily RP canon, some background of my play through experiences and Gale mindsets.

Default for Gale in RP - assume single unless otherwise discussed/developed through CR/part of a meme.

[ FIRST PLAY THROUGH ]

Playthrough status - complete
-Tav - Tiefling Ranger (non-binary, male presenting, male frame), named Stray, romanced Gale (with a short dalliance with Astarion initially.)
-Gale used the orb when facing Ketheric and the Elderbrain. Ooops. Reloaded and Stray talked Gale out of using the orb this time.
-With Stray's encouragement, Gale in Act 3 told Mystra to get stuffed, but agreed to exchange the Crown of Karsus for removal of the orb.
-Stray convinced Gale he was better off not keeping the crown for himself.
-Post game - Gale took Stray back to Waterdeep and proposed to them. They are now married, with Gale living a happy life as a professor, while his spouse comes and goes on adventures (in mun's DnD sessions), but always comes home to their beloved on a regular basis.

[ SECOND PLAY THROUGH ]

Playthrough status - in progress. Currently beginning of Act 2.
-Playing origin character Gale storyline.
-Romancing Astarion.
-Multiclassed Gale into Wizard-Bard. (Rolled a Nat 20 helping Alfira compose her song, nailed playing the lute with her, it just seemed right to go in that direction with him). His performance rolls can be... hit and miss, but he can play. Prefers lute, violin and whistling.
-Tara has joined him in camp. She seems to like hanging out with Karlach. (Probably the heat)
-Gale slept with Astarion at the Tiefling party, he couldn't read his scars but is helping him figure out what they mean.
-Despite Astarion initially spitting out his blood because it tastes like bile, they seem to have found a work around so that Gale can feed Astarion each night.
-Gale gave his eye to the hag, his left eye is now cloudy and damaged.
-Astarion lost his eye to Volo under Gale's encouragement. He now has one blue eye.
-At Rosymorn Monastery Gale showed some impatience and didn't complete the puzzle, instead grabbing the Blood of Lathander Mace and blowing up the whole damn place.
- In the Underdark, did not side with Sovereign Glut and killed him.
- Killed Nere, freed the Ironhand Gnomes, took Nere's head back to Sovereign Spaw, who went a bit trippy-happy for Gale. Stole Nere's head back and Gale is now carrying a drow head that I swear is sprouting increasing amounts of fungi every time I look at it.
- Astarion went on a thieving spree to bring his not-yet-boyfriend all the grossest and weirdest shell and shell adjacent specimens he could find. Gale is... charmed by the gesture.
- Entered the ShadowFell via the mountain pass and summoned Kar'niss on the Spider lyre. Mun had a questionable photomode photoshoot with Gale and Kar'niss, for reasons. Sadly Kar'niss met an untimely end, Karlach having successfully knocked him out post siding with the Harpers in battle, mun was fucking around in Gale's inventory, accidentally put away Gale's torch and, prematurely, Kar'niss fell victim to the curse, became undead and had to be killed.
- Having successfully killed the surgeon in the House of Healing (Gale turned him into a sheep for most of the fight), and freed the patient, Gale was given the choice to either cleanse the Shadow Weave magic from the surgeon's corpse to please Mystra, or absorb the forbidden magic for himself. Fuck Mystra. Gale now has an extra Shadow Weave level 3 spellslot.

I'm playing Gale as well-meaning but on the power hungry side. The plan is to give him the crown this time, and Ascend Astarion... But it took me a year to finish play through 1, so that's not happening anytime soon...

[ OUT OF CHARACTER ]

- Backtagging: Yes. I have a demanding job and tend to slow tag. My timezone is GMT, so I'm often not online at the same time as everyone else. I'm always open to picking up old threads at any time. And feel free to poke me if I've not tagged back for a while and you were looking forward to a reply. Sometimes DW also fails to send me notifs so it might not even be my fail...
- Threadhopping: Sure, if it makes sense to.
- Fourth-walling: Again, if it makes sense, ie: it's silly thread

[ IN CHARACTER ]

- Hugging this character: Yes, he needs all the hugs.
- Kissing this character: Go for it.
- Flirting with this character: Yes, whether he gets that you're flirting will remain to be seen. Gale has rizz, but it's mostly accidental. His flirting is either shy and subtle, or asking for a fuck in the entrails of your enemies. There is no in-between.
- Fighting with this character: Verbal, physical and magical, all good.
- Injuring this character: He's delicate and squishy, go ahead.
- Killing this character: Sure. Be prepared for the consequences.
- Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: If you have a brain worm, it goes without saying. Other means, you can go head too, but he does have his own defences, so maybe check with me to see if you succeed or not.

[ SHIPPING ]

- Prefer M/M for shipping and smut, but Gale is pan, so nothing is ruled out. Check if you're not sure
- Favs include Astarion, Halsin and Kar'niss (I would kill for a Kar'niss to play with!) Curious about Wyll, Minsc, Karlach. Open to others, incl NPCs and villains.
- Happy to ship with Tavs, inc, Dark Urge.
- Happy for cross canon and AUs
- Please, please let me know if a game is going in a direction you're not comfortable with. In general, I'll check profiles for preferences early in tagging, but I may forget what I've read where, or the profile may be blank.
- Also feel free to message if there's something you especially would like to play.
- Smut: For sure! Unless its specifically a smut meme I'm more into slow burn build up to the smut though.
- Kink: Pretty much up for anything except scat. If you're not sure, just ask. Literally no judgement here... More detailed post to follow
